Well what an unusual year! So many diverse projects and challenges. I am happy to be at the end of it and looking forward to some promising leads for the new year and new friends. My art work is going well and filling a gap left by my job loss. Thank God. Planning on running a course in Dolls house Interior Design and getting ready already. Exciting. My chairs are going well thanks to a new friend Margaret whom I met in June. We were destined to meet as I feel a connection where we have the cake and the cream!
Enjoy this year and Best Wishes to you all.
For over 40 years I have been using Art as my form of relaxation. Every day I spend hours working on new ideas and challenging my creative powers. It is the most rewarding thing in my life and I am blessed to have the gift. Also I am proud of my two very gifted children who are achieving in their lifetime what I would like to have been able to achieve.

My miniature Life and Love
I always wanted a dolls house and in 1999 I set about my journey into miniatures!! What a Journey! I got sucked in and I am still working down the scales at 1/144th at the moment. I built my first house in 1/12th scale. I enjoyed collecting all the items and making what I could. I spent 8 weeks making a patchwork quilt hand pieced and stitched for the bed. It was a labour of love and worth every stitch. I have many treasured items collected on my travels around the world. My second scale was 1/24th so it is almost completed. I got a comission to do the Street Scene in 2004 seen here and it is proudly displayed in a Pub in the Galway area.

Dabbling in Antiques
I took to de cluttering my house and have taken a step into the auction room to see what all the fuss is about. Well my first muse was the total insignificent value of my so called precious items that I have been minding for so long!! Looks like I have been harbouring a load of rubbish!! I am delighted now that I have put the stuff in and will take whatever I get for it. As for the family silver, what a load of nonsense!! I have been listeneing to people go on about collecting a lifetime and see now what rubbish it all is. anyway the auction is on the 16th and I will wait and see what comes about. Then I will let you know how I am going to blow the sale money or if I actually owe the auction room money instead. the BBC Antiques roadtrip if coming from the auction room here in Ireland for a first so maybe that is the buzz I will get!!!!!

Where my work is taking me today
I am starting on friday with a new programme teaching disabled people miniature gardening. I am going to do a video presentation of my visit to Madeurodam in Amsterdam. This is an amazing place which sets out the buildings etc of Amsterdam in Miniature. It is an inspiring place to visit. This is where I will take my inspiration from and work through making gardens with them. They have a new purpose built community centre with raised beds. I hope to allocate a plot in the raised bed to each one to work on their own interpretation of what a miniature garden is to them. Looking forward to it.

Today I have decided to become a blogger!
I have created so much over the years I am going to start showing the world my creativity and get a buzz from your feedback. To all my current and to become friends Welcome and hope you enjoy what you see.
Each day I get up with a mind full of what I am going to do today. Not everything goes as planned however an outcome is not far away. I really like working with re-cycled bits as it keeps the costs down and I get a buzz from making something new out of something old.
Enjoy
